ALHAMBRA TICKETS: HOW TO BOOK AND SKIP THE LINE

Alhambra tickets. Is it better to book a ticket to visit the Alhambra in Granada or buy the ticket at the entrance?
The answer to this question is to BOOK.

The Alhambra is one of the most important places in Spain and every day thousands of people visit it. Arriving at the entrance without a ticket is a big risk not only because you may have to do a long line, but also because the number of visitors allowed is limited, even though the place is huge, so you may not be able to enter.
For this reason I wrote this post where you will find all the information you need to book the entrance and admire the most spectacular architectural complex in Spain.

ALHAMBRA TICKETS: HOW TO BOOK

Tickets for the Alhambra can be purchased in 3 ways:

1 – at the ticket office, but I have already explained to you that there is the risk of standing in line for hours or not being able to enter.

2 – buying tickets online.
This is a skip-a-line ticket that allows you to visit the Alhambra with an audio guide.
Be careful though! Even if you have a ticket booked in your hand, you will have to show up at the entrance one in advance. It is generally recommended to arrive half an hour earlier.

3 – choosing a guided tour. This is the recommended option because the Alhambra is an immense place and you risk entering on your own but not understanding the true value of the spaces and buildings in which you find yourself entering.
You can book directly from the page Alhambra – Tours and Skip the Line or choose from the many proposals available (the tours available are really many and with different costs) and select the proposal that best suits your needs and the costs you want to support.

ALHAMBRA TICKETS: WHY VISIT IT

The Alhambra is one of the most important historical sites in Spain and its construction dates back to the period of Arab domination.
It is a real city, located within the city of Granada but placed in a strategic position, because it dominates the whole area from the top of the Sabika hill.

Why visit the Alhambra?
It is easy to understand. Going back to the period of Arab domination in Spain the buildings inside have Moorish decorations and the composition of the spaces reflects the Arab style.
This is a place that seems to come from an ancient fairy tale.

Those who visit the Alhambra immediately notice that not even one space is free but everything is decorated with geometric and fantastic motifs. From the walls to the ceilings to the most hidden corners, everything is decorated.
The Alhambra was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 and was included in the list of twenty-one finalists for the election of the seven wonders of the modern world.

If you visit the Alhambra in summer don’t forget to bring a hat and water, in fact there are many areas exposed to the sun.
