There is so much history, art and culture in Europe that making a list of the art cities to see might disappoint many people.
However, some places are unmissable and you should visit them at least once in your lifetime.

Paris
Paris is my favourite city. It boasts amazing museums such as the Louvre Museum or the works of the Musée d’Orsay, but also small museums in Paris tracing the story of the artists who lived in this city, such as Constantin Brancusi’s workshop. In addition, there are those less-known places of Secret Paris that make you immerse yourself in the city’s history and atmosphere.
Rome
Rome, the Eternal City, is a must see for anyone.
You can’t claim that you have really travelled if you haven’t see Rome at least once in your lifetime!
What to see? The Colosseum, the Vatican City, the Pantheon and the works of art in Rome that made the history of art.
Barcelona
Lively and colourful, Barcelona is the city where to have fun and discover Gaudì’s works scattered throughout the city. And tapas are to die for. However, Barcelona is also Picasso and Mirò. Among Barcelona museums, in fact, are the Picasso Museum and the Joan Mirò Foundation, both housing the world’s largest collections of works created by these artists.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam is certainly one of the art cities in Europe to visit. The city is built on canals and houses some art masterpieces.
From the Rijksmuseum, to the Van Gogh Museum to Anne Frank House there are many museums in Amsterdam to visit.
Venice
Among all the art cities in Europe Venice is the most charming and elegant.
The city is worth visiting both in winter and summer, and can enchant any kind of visitor, from the most adventurous to the most romantic.
There are also works of art in Venice and unusual places. So, it’s one of the cities you must visit!
London
The list of the art cities in Europe must comprise London. There are endless wonders to visit!
I planned an itinerary to visit London in one day but if you have more time at your disposal, you’d better stay at least four days.
