An exhibition dedicated to Lady Diana

AN EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO LADY DIANA IN TURIN

In Turin an exhibition dedicated to Lady Diana to understand her importance of her figure at the end of the 20th century.

20 years have passed since that tragic accident which, on August 31st 1997, caused the death of Diana Spencer, which moved the public opinion, and not only those who loved that woman who was defined “The People’s Princess”.
I clearly remember where I was and what I was doing the day in which the news broke. It was an event so sad that struck the world, and left a series of mysteries linked not only to that tragic night, but also to the life of Lady Diana and her personality.

The exhibition at the Palace of Venaria in Turin, on view form July 8th 2017 to January 28th 2018, will allow you to make a dive into the past and discover all the facets of a woman who marked an era.

Swatch watches to collect: Swatch at the Venice Biennale

SWATCH WATCHES TO COLLECT: SWATCH AT THE VENICE BIENNALE

Swatch watches have marked some of the most important landmarks in my life.
It was a Swatch the first watch my parents bought me; I got many Swatch watches as a birthday present, and it’s a Swatch the watch I wear every day and I’m wearing right now, while I’m writing this post.

In my opinion Swatch watches have always been a symbol of colour and creativity.
Therefore, I wasn’t surprised when I saw a whole Pavilion at the Venice Art Exhibition 2017 dedicated to four young talented artists and a collectible Swatch created for this edition of the Venice Biennale, indeed.
In fact, when I gave you my opinion about the Biennale Arte 2017, I also gave you four good reasons to visit it, and the Swatch project is one of these reasons.

MARK TOBEY. THREADING LIGHT AT THE PEGGY GUGGENHEIM COLLECTION

Coffee is the common thread running through the museums, the collections and the cities I visited in this period, and the latest exhibition I saw at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, dedicated to the American artist Mark Tobey is no exception. The ritual of coffee is that moment which allows you to share your first impressions about an event with people next to you at that moment, but also to exchange opinions and talk about what you’re going to see.

Then, it was beautiful to come back to Peggy Guggenheim’s house, place that I adore, to discover an American artist about whom I knew little, and to find out that, actually, that is not only an art exhibition, but the first leg of a collaboration between Lavazza and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
Actually, Lavazza has been Global Partner of the Guggenheim New York since 2014, but now it focuses on Venice, too.

Mark Tobey: Threading light is the most comprehensive retrospective exhibition in the latest years, in Europe, dedicated to the American artist Mark Tobey.
The exhibition will be on view until September 10th 2017, and you’ll have the whole summer to visit it. In this post I’m writing about my visit to the exhibition.
