LUIGI PERICLE: A REDISCOVERED ARTIST AND A NEW CHAPTER IN HISTORY OF ART TO BE WRITTEN

The story of Luigi Pericle is the story of a forgotten artist, whose works have been discovered by chance and are contributing to the start of a new chapter in history of art.

The first international retrospective exhibition of Luigi Pericle is taking place in Venice and is entitled “Beyond the visible”.
It’s the first leg of a large project aimed at promoting a leading figure of the European painting scenario in the second half of the 20th century, who, at some point in his life, chose to retire from the art world and now, at last, is emerging from oblivion.

HOTEL MO.MA., AN EXHIBITION BY MONICA MARIONI

Hotel Mo.Ma. is an exhibition by Monica Marioni which is a dialogue between content and container, between the works on display and the exhibition area.
The place chosen for this dialogue is Casa Gallo, at Palazzo Brusarosco-Zaccaria in Vicenza, one of the many amazing works designed by architect Carlo Scarpa.

This building that was once the residence of the Gallo family,  who commissioned Scarpa the renovation project in the early 1960s, becomes the home, or rather, the temporary hotel of Monica Marioni’s works.
And that’s how the container becomes the scenery, but also the protagonist of an exhibition where also visitors are an active part of the project.

After the interview to understand which kind of relationship exists between art and communication according to the Thyssen-Bornemizsa Museum of Madrid, the appointments dedicated to communication of art in the time of social media are going on.

In this post I’ll publish the interview with those who are behind the scenes of Affordable Art Fair Italy: Manuela Porcu, fair director and Laura Gabellotto, fair manager.
They told me how they use social media and communicate a global event on the national territory.

GALLERIA VITTORIA, ROME: AN INTERVIEW WITH TIZIANO M. TODI

The Galleria Vittoria located in Via Margutta in Rome is one of those places which have livened up the Roman cultural environment since the 1970s.
The first exhibition was that of Pericle Fazzini, author of the bronze sculpture depicting the “Resurrection of Christ” (1977) which is now on display in the Sala Nervi in the Vatican, and since then the Galleria Vittoria has never stopped, making room for major Italian and foreign artists.

I interviewed Tiziano M. Todi who represents the third generation of the Galleria Vittoria and who really began moving his first steps in the artistic environment when he was a child.
Here is what he told me about the past and the future of the Galleria Vittoria.
