DOGE’S PALACE TICKETS: WHERE AND HOW TO BUY YOUR TICKET TO SKIP THE LINE
Doge’s Palace tickets: To visit the most important building in Venice you have to plan your visit well in advance and first you need to book the tickets, to avoid queuing at the entrance.
Often, when I pass in front of Palazzo Ducale I see an interministerial row of people waiting to buy the ticket. There is no time of year when there is not a crowd of tourists waiting and every time I wonder why they have not booked priority access.
In fact, I think that they also ask for it, especially when they see the visitors who have reserved the entrance pass in front and immediately go to the entrance and start the visit to the Palazzo Ducale without unnecessary waiting.
Here, then, all the information to book tickets for the Doges’s Palace in Venice.
Doges’s Palace tickets
WHERE YOU CAN BUY YOUR TICKET TO THE DOGE’S PALACE
You can buy your tickets to the Doge’s Palace in three places:
1 – at the museum ticket office, but in this case you have to queue to enter (and you have to be very patient!).
2 –online, on the – Doge’s Palace Skip the Line
This way you’ll skip the line, but be careful: don’t be late, otherwise you’ll have to queue.
3 – buying the Museum Pass. A ticket to see the most important museums in Venice.
4 – choosing one of the many tickets that include either a combined visit to the Palazzo Ducale + Basilica di San Marco.
Booking a combined ticket that includes both tickets to the Doge’s Palace and tickets to visit St. Mark’s Basilica has the advantage of not having to worry about the opening times of the two sites, which are different: just turn up at the indicated time and show (even from your smartphone) your ticket, with the added advantage of skipping the queue and having early access.
DOGE’S PALACE: HOW TO GET THERE
The Doge’s Palace is in San Marco Square.

If you want to get to know Venice, entry to the Doge’s Palace is a must, but don’t forget to book tickets for St Mark’s Basilica, which is located right next to the palace and was once the Doge’s private chapel.
The golden mosaics inside are very old and have inspired many artists over the centuries. For example, Gustave Klimt’s works would not be so beautiful if the artist had not been fascinated by the mosaics of St Mark’s Basilica the day he entered to admire the Venetian church.

We cannot buy Doge tickets in advance because we are not sure if we will get to Venice on time. We expect to get to Venice by noon on Sunday, September 11.
Is there a telephone number we can call to order “skip the line” tickets once we reach Venice?
Thank you, in advance
Try to book tickets on the day you know when you will be able to enter.
The more you book in advance of your visit, the more you risk not finding a place because every day the museum is sold out.
Come back to this page to book and if there are still tickets available, it won’t be a problem. Otherwise book for the next day.
