FREE MUSEUMS: THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD
After having written what are the free museums to see in Rome and on what days and times are free museums in Milan is now time to make a list on free museums in the rest of the world.
I made a list of the most beautiful museums, the ones that really worth going to see, of course, they are also the most famous.
1. BRITISH MUSEUM – LONdon
The British Museum never disappoints.
More than 8 million artworks on exhibition in the world’s largest permanent collection.

2. TATE MODERN – LONDon
The Tate Modern houses a collection of great masterpieces, and it always arranges unique exhibitions. In any case, it’s the perfect place where you can breathe art, but also where you can enjoy, from the bar on the highest floor, a wonderful view on the city.

3. STATENS MUSEUM FOR KUNST – COPENHAGEN
In Copenhagen there’s a huge museum, completely free, which houses a collection of artworks covering centuries of history, from Tintoretto to Pablo Picasso, from Rembrandt to Matisse.
Basically, here your art binge is guaranteed.
4. MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHY – REYKJAVIK
Natural beauties are Iceland’s main tourist attractions, but you can’t miss the Museum of Photography, which houses a collection of almost 5 million photographs taken by international artists from 1870 to 2002.
5. THE GETTY MUSEUM – LOS ANGELES
California is not just the land of Hollywood and surf.
The Getty Museum is a must-see if you go to Los Angeles. A building which is a masterwork of American architecture and overlooks the city of Los Angeles from above, and which houses the main exhibition of artworks of the West Coast.
