Every year an exhibition dedicated to Monet is arranged, but the one which is about to arrive in Rome on October 19^th at the Complesso del Vittoriano in Rome promises to be different from the others.

On view about 60 works painted by the father of Impressionism, coming from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, which are a journey into his life and artistic career.

SLEEPING IN A CASTLE IN ITALY

I can’t tell you how many times I dreamt of living in a castle when I was a little girl, and I would have settled for sleeping in a castle to feel like a princess just for one night. But my dream hasn’t come true yet, and since I’m resigned by now, I carried out research to plan a journey and to enjoy at least a fairytale night.

I discovered some interesting places, but, moreover, I found out that in Italy you can sleep in a castle.
Therefore, here are 5 castles I’d like to sleep in, and if you’ve been there, let me know if you’ve found your dream place.

THE ARCO LAMP

It was 1962 and light fell on tables, desks and magazines directly from the ceiling.
There were also floor lamps, but they were unwieldy and didn’t light exactly the point you needed.
An idea came to the Castiglioni brothers, Pier Giacomo and Anchille: to make a marble base and a steel arc-shaped structure which allowed the light to shine exactly on the point you needed. Brilliant!
