TUTTOMONDO: KEITH HARING’S MURAL

On the wall of the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate, in Pisa, there’s the last public work painted by Keith Haring.
It’s a large mural painted in 1989, entitled Tuttomondo (Allworld – The Pisa’s Mural ) and dedicated to universal peace.

You know how much I like Keith Haring.
I visited the exhibition “Keith Haring. About art” in Milan with great enthusiasm, like a child in the playground, and feeling the excitement of going to a rock concert.
Because Keith Haring is the artist who, more than others, can interpret my life and express my desire for happiness.

FLOW, ITALIAN AND CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART IN DIALOGUE

A contemporary Palladio welcomes you with the works of Flow, Italian and Chinese contemporary art which are on exhibition in the hall of the Palladian Basilica in Vicenza from March 25th to May 7th 2017.
Flow underlines the free flow of artistic expressions of two very different people, Italian and Chinese people.

The exhibition, curated by Maria Yvonne Pugliese and Peng Feng, presents 14 artists for the West and 10 for the East, including famous and emerging artists, and new proposals.
In all, there are 28 works displayed in a space full of natural light coming from wide openings of a palace built centuries ago by Andrea Palladio.

THE PALLADIAN VILLAS: THE VILLAS INCLUDED IN THE WORLD HERITAGE LIST

If there’s in the world an Italian architect who, more than others, was a source of inspiration to many generations, it’s certainly Andrea Palladio and the Palladian villas are very famous.
The buildings which all over the world drew inspiration from his style, and from Europe to the USA are defined “Palladian”, prove that.

The study of classical art and buildings of ancient Rome was the starting point for Andrea Palladio, who designed a series of villas in the territory of Vicenza, which are considered the most important masterworks in history of art and architecture.
24 Palladian villas are included in the World Heritage List.

You can’t see all of them in one day, because they are scattered in the Veneto area, but you can divide your visit into more legs, and seize the chance to make a very fascinating tour of the Veneto, seeing it through Andrea Palladio’s eyes.
In this post you’ll find the full list of the Palladian villas.
Where will you start your visit from?
