Zandomeneghi exhibition in Padua. Zandomeneghi was a painter who lived an adventurous life and developed a restless artistic creativity.
He was the protagonist of an extraordinary season of the Italian painting in the 19th century.

Palazzo Zabarella in Padua will host a great retrospective exhibition dedicated to Federico Zandomeneghi, which will be on view from September 10th to December 11th 2016.
On display 100 paintings in order to reconstruct the artistic career of the painter who, between the 19th century and the 20th century, celebrated women.

Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. Poet, novelist, dramatist, Marinetti was the leader of Italian Futurism, the main movement of revolutionary avant-garde whose main features I summarized in a special post.

He was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and studied in Paris, Pavia and Genoa.
In 1905 he founded the magazine Poesia (Poetry), a tool for Italian Symbolism, which in 1909 served as the official organ for a new poetic movement, Futurism.

Now it’s time for me to tell you everything about the landmarks of this city I had the chance to visit thanks to In-Lombardia for the project called #inLombardia365.

Mantua was one of the destinations I wanted to visit in 2016, and when the Explora team contacted me a few weeks ago and proposed spending a long week-end discovering the city and its surroundings, I accepted without a doubt.
It was the good chance for me to lose myself in 2016 Italian Capital of Culture, and I wasn’t disappointed with it!

Impressionism. On April 15th 1874 in Paris at the studio of the photographer Nadar a group of young artists of the Sociètè anonyme coopèrative des artistes peintres sculpteurs et graveurs (Anonymous Society of Painters, Sculptors, and Engravers) presented an art exhibition. Those artists were: Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisley e Pierre Auguste Renoir.

Their exhibition was a failure, but it was the first Impressionist exhibition.
