THE PALLADIAN WING AT THE GALLERIE DELL’ACCADEMIA

Gallerie Accademia Venice. The Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice is the seat of one of the most interesting museums in Venice.
The complex of the Gallerie dell’Accademia, hosting a very rich art collection of Venetian paintings from Veneto as well, consists of the ancient church of Santa Maria della Carità, the monastery of the Canonici Lateranensi, and the Scuola Grande of Santa Maria della Carità.

Over the last few years the Gallerie dell’Accademia has undergone a transformation process and renovation of the settings, and in 2016 seven new rooms were inaugurated in the wing planned by Andrea Palladio.

His photos are on display in Genoa at the Doge’s Palace. The exhibition emphasizes the need to protect our planet, to change our way of life, to respect the nature and the environment surrounding us, in order to achieve a new harmony.

Biscione as a symbol of Milan. The symbol of the city of Milan is the biscione, a snake in the act of consuming a child, which was the emblem of the House of Visconti for centuries.

As the symbol of Milan, the biscione is also associated with the football club Inter Milan, the car manufacturer Alfa Romeo and the logo of the private television network Canale 5 (Channel 5).

Storie dell’Impressionismo a Treviso (history of impressionism in Treviso)

Exhibition dedicated to Impressionism in Treviso. In a few months Treviso will host an exhibition dedicated to Impressionism which will bring to Italy 120 works with the aim of illustrating the history of Impressionism through its artists.
On view works by Manet, Degas, Renoir, Monet, Pissarro, Sisley, Toulouse Lautrec, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Seurat and many more. It’s an exhibition you can’t miss!

The exhibition will illustrate the period between the 19^th century and the early 20^th century and will put on display works by the greatest artists of Impressionism.
You will probably think that there are too many exhibitions devoted to Impressionism, but I can assure you that this one will be different, as I will explain in this post.
