THE STORY OF MONTE VERITÀ AND THE RETURN TO NATURE

The story of Monte Verità began in the early 20th century. In just a few decades, it became a destination for artists and intellectuals who were seeking a spiritual and creative refuge and who found, among the woods and hills overlooking Lake Maggiore, a place to imagine and create a new world based on today’s themes such as the ecology of living and the ecology of the soul.

The history of Monte Verità is therefore a pioneering story in which some of the most important personalities of the 20th century found a direct and genuine contact with nature, reflecting on the need for man to build a lifestyle in harmony with the planet.

YOUNG WOMAN BY PICASSO: HISTORY AND CURIOSITIES OF A PAINTING

Young Woman by Picasso is a Cubist painting from 1909.

The painting has participated in international exhibitions and is coming to Italy, for the first time, thanks to an extraordinary exhibition event organised by Fondazione Alda Fendi – Esperimenti, giving me the opportunity to tell you the story about this masterpiece.

GUILLAUME BOTTAZZI’S WORKS CREATE HAPPINESS

Art provokes chemical reactions in our brains and the works of Guillaume Bottazzi, a pioneer of neuro-aesthetics, contribute to the well-being of the viewer.

A study by neuroscientists at the University of Vienna in Austria, Marcos Nadal and Helmut Leder, shows that his artwork contributes to the viewer’s well-being and tends to reduce anxiety by promoting the production of dopamine, the substance that provides pleasure.

WORKS FROM THE BPER BANCA COLLECTION

Since 2017, the works of the BPER Banca Collection have been collected and exhibited at the Bank’s headquarters in Modena.
The idea of exhibiting the collection stems from an awareness of the importance of an art collection which, at present, is the result of the union of other collections which, through the works preserved, tell the story of the Bank and the territory in which it was founded in 1867.

In this post I describe the most important works.
