ROMERO BRITTO AND POP ART MEETS DESIGN
Born in Brazil and raised in Miami, Romero Britto is the founder of the Happy Art Movement and innovator of POP-CULTURE.
Creating a visual language of love, hope and happiness Britto uses vibrant and fun images to reflect his optimistic view of the world.
Romero Britto has combined his playful, multi-coloured style with some of the world’s most prestigious brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Vodka Absolute, Disney and is now starting a collaboration with Bellini Nautica, a leading Italian shipyard in the restoration of vintage Riva boats and the sale of new and used yachts.
Romero Britto and Pop Art meets Design
In Britto’s works there is a clear reference to the works of Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, but also to Pablo Picasso‘s Cubism, which emerges strongly in the use of shapes, freely broken up and reinterpreted, all combined with the sunny and cheerful soul of Brazil.
It is the bright colours of Britto’s works that invite positivity and good humour, infusing vigour and brio and an optimistic vision of the world communicated with simplicity and a design that is direct and comprehensible to all.
The new project in collaboration with the artist and Galleria Deodato Arte is part of Bellini Nautica’s bond with the art world.
Every year, the historic Clusane shipyard presents important collaborations with well-known names on the international art scene, resulting in true works of art.
The art project was presented at Bellini Nautica in June 2022, with a selection of works from the exhibition“ROMERO BRITTO: Pop Art Empire”.
