THE WORLD OF CINEMA IN ART
On the occasion of the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, the Fondazione Mazzoleni will bring to Venice the collaborative art exhibition “Il Cinema nell’Arte” (“The world of Cinema in art”).
From September 10th to October 2nd 2016 in the halls of the gallery inside the JW Mariott Resort & Spa on the Isola delle Rose, 50 works of young artists will be on exhibition together with works by Andy Warhol and Mimmo Rotella.
Of course the theme of the exhibition will be the world of Cinema with its icons, memorable movies and everlasting movie stars.
Among the young artists on show there will be Andrea Prandi, as well, with his work “T”, an original installation that is part of his project “Art Frame”, a group of works that draw inspiration from significant scenes from the cult movies of the last 50 years.
“T” is an oil painting depicting a mother from the 1991 movie “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” directed by James Cameron, and it contains an original reproduction of the Cyborg T-800’s arm.
