DAY 1

SCHÖNBRUNN

We begin our Viennese journey with a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsburgs.
This impressive Baroque palace, with its 1441 rooms, is surrounded by magnificent gardens and offers the opportunity to discover the fascinating life of the imperial court.
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the sumptuous state rooms, the labyrinth in the garden and the Gloriette, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Vienna. Visiting this place is one of the top 5 things to do in Vienna if you love art.

BELVEDERE MUSEUM

We continue on to the Belvedere Museum, housed in two Baroque palaces.
The Belvedere is famous for its collection of Austrian art, including works such as Klimt’s famous Kiss and is also a world-famous museum under the name Osterreichische Galerie Belvedere.
The museum also houses works by Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka, offering a complete panorama of Austrian art from the medieval era to modernism.
I recommend reading the post I dedicated to the most beautiful works at the Belvedere in Vienna to find out which ones you should not miss.

DAY 2

ALBERTINA

The second day is dedicated to visiting the Albertina, a museum located in a neoclassical palace that was once part of the Hofburg, the winter residence of the Habsburgs.
The Albertina Museum houses one of the largest collections of graphic art in the world, with works by Dürer, Michelangelo, Rubens and many others. The museum also offers temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.
It is one of the most important museums in Vienna and it is recommended to book tickets for the Albertina so as not to risk missing out on this unique museum.
